Start Your Own Blog

If you’re like me and love following the best food blogs the world wide web has to offer, you may be interested in starting your very own! I am relatively new to blogging and have spent countless hours researching all the best tools out there to make my blog the very best it can be. Please feel free to contact me with ANY questions you may have about beginning your own blog, and I would be so happy to help!

Having started my very own blog recently, I recommend the latest and greatest resources, as blogging is a rapidly changing landscape. When I began Kelley and Cricket, some resources I stumbled upon where a bit outdated, and I had to go through a good deal of trial and error. I would love to save you some time and streamline the process for you. That’s why I created this resource page!

Here is a brief but ever growing list of some of my very favorite (and must have) resources. This page contains affiliate links. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Equipment & Services

tailwind-logo Pinterest is a food bloggers best friend but if you’ve ever spent any time there you know what a time suck it can be! That’s why Tailwind is probably one of my favorite blog tools. It’s a great Pinterest scheduler that you can use right from within Pinterest!

71tz63oxXqL._SL1500_ If you’re looking for a great entry level camera then the Canon EOS Rebel T5 is a great place to start! The power is in the lens so as long as you get a camera body that’s in good working order you can absolutely save some money by buying refurbished!

71fEjITeanL._SL1500_ If you want a good photo you need a good lens (and then you need to know how to use it!) I highly recommend a 50mm lens like this Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens for mid range angles and good overhead shots without having to stand on a ladder!

logo Hosting is like the foundation that your blog is built on. It houses all your blogs files and provides the space in the vastness of the internet for your blog to sit on. I highly recommend A Small Orange because not only are they one of the best but they offer superb customer service via phone and live chat!
